Well, I’m impolite, because if someone-anyone-ignored me or someone else standing by that seat while they zoned out on tunes in their own little world on crowded public transportation, I’d have said, excuse me, rude person, but please get your s*** off that seat...
I can’t imagine anyone being so clueless they put their stuff on an empty seat on a train or bus. Probably a good thing I don’t live in a big city.
But she has her noise-canceling headphones on and can’t hear anything you say.
What do you do?
Touch her shoulder? Wave your hands in her face?
All of those are aggressive, racist entitled actions to a person like this Cooper.
If her intended takeaway from this story was “avoid black people in public, they have short fuses and are likely to interpret any interaction as racist” then she did a good job.
If we were to design an undercover agent to discredit Black Studies, how would that person write any differently?
I’d wave my hands while smiling at her if I was inclined to be polite-and she certainly does a great job of convincing everyone that black people are best ignored/avoided in public places because they might throw a tantrum over any little thing-she has discredited that program worse than any covert agent could-way to go, irrational screamer...
A++
The holier than thou mentality of those know-it-alls is astounding. They KNOW what’s best for us so it’s OK to lie to pass legislation, as we are too dumb to want it. A+++
Some protected classes are immune to courtesy manners or any form of "thought for others."
Plus they smell bad.
Two local deaths. First, a 5yo boy strangled by his cousin and his body buried in the snow. Just early this morning a man strangled his common law wife. They have a child together. Dear, God in Heaven, this is just so tragic. Such evil at Christmas.
I think I heard something on Fox just awhile ago about the little boy. My 1st husband always cautioned the cub to be careful when going to the movies or even hiking in the woods with her friends at this time of the year-he said bad people were at their worst at this time year-he was right.
Thanks! Even some really clueless people are getting a bit tired of it, but apparently their “betters” haven’t noticed, in spite of being ousted from congress.
So true - and when you consider that the black population is somewhere around 12%, yet the crime rate of blacks comprises almost half of all total crimes, makes it ridiculous for them to scream racism when cops are pulling them over more often then 50 year old white broads.....
I’m only 5’6” and I used to get asked all the time. Not so much now that I am frequently in an electric cart since my knee replacement. LOL Now people are offering to fetch for me!
My neighbor and I did something sort of mean to her 16 year old niece who is visiting from the liberal hell known as Austin-I was walking by the neighbor’s place earlier-she was outside feeding chickens and said come up and have a cup of coffee.
We were gossiping and having coffee on her deck and heard the niece on the hiking trail talking to another teen who lives on the road-she was telling him how one of her teachers told her class all about kwanzaa-he laughed at her and said you really are a dumbs*** to buy into that. Like most of the kids on the road, he is homeschooled-the niece goes to what my neighbor refers to as the public child abuse center. Miffed at being ridiculed by a peer, she came stomping onto the deck, asking why he would call her dumb.
My neighbor told her well, the real story is that it is a non-holiday based on some sort-of African stories, and made up by an American radical who was in prison for abusing women and other stuff at the time he invented it.
I don’t know the whole story about that bogus celebration, but her account fits what I’ve heard close enough.
I thought the kid’s eyes were going to fall out, but she just said aunt XXXX, why would a teacher lie about that, and my neighbor said most of what they are teaching is lies, and you need to tell your mom about that kwanzaa crap, if the teacher didn’t talk about Christmas and Hanuka, too-that is discrimination, never mind telling kids to celebrate a pretend holiday-isn’t that right T5? I nodded and said to the kid you need to tell your mom as soon as she comes to get you-tell her she needs to call the school board and complain, and my neighbor said maybe call a lawyer, too...
The kid just wandered off looking confused, and my neighbor said did I do a bad thing, and I said yes you did, but we both totally enjoyed it, didn’t we?
Did the teacher cover Festivus? If not he/she is pushing an agenda because joke holidays should be equally shared. :)
Well of course they should-one made up holiday is certainly no better than another one...
I can’t wait to hear what happened when the neighbor’s sister came to fetch the kid back to Austin-that is supposed to happen early tomorrow-and I wonder if the kid’s mother is really going to do anything-my neighbor would tear that teacher a new one, but I don’t know her sister, or whether she is a wuss or not.
That’s the way to set her straight.
