What is sad is these days SD is vying with SF for the % of homo population. Think they even had a lesbo fire chief and homo mayor or something like that.

Back when, SD was about as staunchly conservative a city as you could find.

SD was staunchly conservative until the mid 90’s after that it went total progressive. At one time, 2004 I think, the entire city council, the mayor, the chief of police and the fire chief were all gay or LGBT. That’s when I left and moved back to Michigan. Think about how bad California must have gotten to do something like that. Now I wish I had moved to Texas, but we all make mistakes.

SD certainly looked that way on Simon and Simon. I miss the 80s in a lot of respects.
