A teenager was shot dead by another shopper after he tried to rob him of his limited edition Nike Air sneakers at gunpoint. Jawaad Jabbar, 16, of Middletown, Ohio, had traveled to Dayton Mall in Dayton, Ohio, on Saturday to buy a pair of the popular athletic shoes. But the shop sold out of them and the teenager became desperate to get hold of a pair. Police said the teen along with two friends spotted two men outside — one of whom had just bought a pair of the sneakers — and pulled a gun.

The name of the man who shot the kid has not been released and neither has a photo of him, obviously. However nobody is screaming the kid was killed because he is black, I strongly suggest the man who shot him is too. Eventually that will come out.

Because the UK media is tabloid oriented and stuff like this truthfully isn’t news. At least not nationally. Locally sure, but nationally really who cares. People get mugged a lot, some muggers get shot. It’s a nice garish headline, nice for tabloids, but not really news.

Once someone pulls a gun all bets are off.
Pulling out a gun while committing a crime is the universal sign for “I’m going to kill you.”
Doesn’t matter if it’s loaded or not.
Doesn’t matter if the guy really intents to shoot or not.
The victim must assume the gun IS loaded and the criminal IS about to shoot him.
Using a gun while committing a crime is like signing your own death certificate.

You are most likely right! I would not be any where near a shoe store that was having any kind of air jordan shoes on sale - at any time of the year! That is unless I intended to remove a Feral from society.
