I have an Oreck vacuum cleaner, which I like. I have also heard that Miele is a good model. These may be more expensive than the ones you get at your local Sears or Target, but none of them are made in China.
Miele is the best. I have the top of the line and it is frankly worth the money. I went through all the orecks and the don’t-suck-enough Dysons. As long as this one lasts 10 years it will have been cheaper than all the losers. It’s 3 now.
