For at least a decade, you go to see B.B. to pay homage to B.B. and to see the warm up act(s). And there’s nothing wrong with that. If you expect much more, you’re kidding yourself.

I’ve probably seen him 4-5 times in the last 10 years.

Saw that here in ATL; it was great.

He had a guitarist and a keyboards player here. The guitarist did a short set beforehand and was quite good on his own, with a unique style.

Ian Anderson. Ordinarily he puts on a fine show but that evening he cut about a quarter of his set list. I don’t think he was feeling well.

Yes, same here in St. Louis. It's still considered a "solo" tour, though, meaning Justin Hayward without the other Moodies and with minimal accompaniment.

I liked that Justin Hayward did a mix of the old favorites along with his newer material. Plus, he told some stories in between songs.

No offense intended, GSW, but the only name I’ve ever heard of from your list is EmmyLou Harris.

The last time I was at a live performance was in the late 1970s. It was at a small bar, the Red Rooster, in Dallas near Love Field. Wife called me and told me mid-morning, so I drove an 80 mile round trip at lunch time and bought four tickets. We and my sis and bil arrived about 7pm and got the table about 5 feet from the front of the small stage, which was only about 15” high.

Willie Nelson, his sis Bonnie and the rest of his band, began playing about 8pm. The bar was packed with about 250 people and everyone was singing along with every song.

Willie went on for two hours, then took a 30 minute break. He came back and did another two hours! ....Great time in a very small venue! .......Found out he was a friend of the owner of the bar and was doing a favor or payback.

I’d love to see The Who(Two), but tickets are steep.

I can sit in the upper deck of a basketball arena for $50.

I saw the Who once before (in 99) and tickets were $10 (it was a multimedia company fraud deal, but the company didn’t go belly up for a few months). The band later released the show to DVD to try to make something from the ordeal.

I had a nesting pair of Cardinals that gave a song show earlier this year and a bunch of Hummingbirds that were fun to watch. Nothing Man-Made.

Did you get a good show or were they drunk?

Don’t know if they were drunk but one of the hummingbirds was/were MEAN kept attacking the others.

BB King opening for Zep? That is old. Tell your hubby I saw the Physical Graffiti tour and the Presene tour at the Garden. He’ll appreciate that.

Good to find a fellow concert goer. Would lie to hear more about who he saw.

That’s just a part of the birds’ rape culture.
