The event in question involved two dogs ganging up on one dog, each with a mouthful of either end. I put my hand in the middle and the dog I was trying to save got his head loose and bit my hand. At that instant I yelled out (volume set to Marine Corps loud) at which point all three dogs took off running in as many directions. I was left alone to examine the hole in my hand.
