I’m jumping in here a bit late, but my first thought is, the dog looks happy, Trig (I think that’s his name) is small; if the dog didn’t like it, he wouldn’t let the boy stand on his back. Or her back. :)
I’ve rubbed my dog with my foot a lot; she loves it. However, if I stood on her, well, I couldn’t. Not at all. She would never let me do it if I even tried. Something tells me the dog and Trig have a special relationship and the dog accepts things from the boy that it wouldn’t accept from anyone else.
Julie, I saw a picture of Sarah with “Jill” the pup in April of 2014 - as I best recall. That makes the dog less than a year old and Trig is larger than the dog.
