I give Dr Savage credit for remaining on air all last week, while the other media stars were on hiatus for the last 10 days.

I recall that controversial* Art Bell did not use screeners. Dr. Savage should know that; to wit, a wiki article confirms:"Fans regard Bell as a master showman, noting that he calls his show 'absolute entertainment' . . . Bell was one of only a few talk show hosts who did not screen incoming calls [while in the Philippines he did use screeners to avoid listeners having to call there directly, it's said]."

I do not recall any harassing calls but of course the show was time-delayed and maybe that's why.

I like the no screener idea but I cannon imagine the lefist pukes not flooding Savage's phone.

*Bell riled BJ over Waco and other atrocities of the Clintons.

Hurrah for Dr. Savage for his reporting the latest BJ scandal. I've missed others so far today so I do not know if they talk about. I think Bill Cunningham mentioned it (Sunday night) but he did not go further.

One of the best 30-or-so minutes on radio since I've been listening beginning in the early 1940s. One caller and one scheduled guest. Dr. Savage's home station KSFO, BTW.

KSFO Morning Show Podcast It's a four hour show. Pick the hour 30 January 0500 - 0600.

The caller (27:30) is a military Afghanistan vet who explains the Talleban in concise and precise language. (Hint: there are two kinds of 'em.)

The scheduled guest Jan Morgan (36:20) owns a shooting range in Arkansas who will not permit Muslims as customers. She describes an incident when she did permit 'em but no more.
