The GOP will determine its own direction in the next two years. There is no way to predict those events. Aside from the obvious issues like taxes and immigration, there is no way to even predict what issues people will think is important two years from now.

But, the rest of the world keeps on spinning. And, we need to wake up to reality.

Things are getting really bad in Russia now. People who bet against the US lost a bundle. Betting against the US has always been a bad bet. But things in Russia are now becoming critical. The people are really beginning to suffer. Putin could become desperate enough to do something really crazy - much worse than downing an airliner.

Maybe we can prevent that.
