Having some trouble from time to time clicking on FR. I see the screen for a split second and then it goes to a "connection was reset" screen. I can usually get to main page and articles but when I click on comment to me it goes right to "connection was reset"
Any help appreciated

My new windows8.1 computer gives me a lot of “a problem with this webpage caused...” and I haven’t figured out why though I think it has to do with ‘protected mode’.
But not with FR.

Logged in, have no trouble click ing on an article like this one to read replie but when click on posts to me it has a split second shot of all post to me then right to connection was reset Old joke, never mind.
"Connection reset" means that the other side of your connection sent you a packet with a flag that says: "forcibly terminate this connection now".
It could be sent by anything between you and the FR server, or the FR server itself. That includes any anti-virus program you are running, which monitors your web connection.

nothing wrong with your connection apparently
clear browser cache and reset your router and see if it still happens is my only advice

What browser are you using? Firefox has a history of not playing nice with Win8. I’ve had better experiences using Waterfox (a 64bit Firefox build) and the Google Chrome 64-bit beta release.
