I always get choked up at the end of “It’s a Wonderful Life”. The hard working man, doing his best, putting his community and his family before his own ambitions. And finding out at the end that it all mattered after all.
Well, that’s a classic. Even if I haven’t been paying attention to the seasons or much of anything else, I know it’s mid-December when “It’s a Wonderful Life” shows up on TV (along with “Miracle on 34th Street”).

I choke up several times through that movie.
we watch it every year...and every year my wife says, “boys look at your father and think about why he’s crying”
