Can someone explain how he was in the water for five hours if the Oasis video showed him going overboard at 6:07 AM and he was picked up at 7:31AM. My pre common core math says that is more like an hour and twenty four minutes.

Easy. He drifted across four time zones while he was in the water.

Obviously the currents swept him through several time zones before he was rescued. Duh!

It appears he did fall overboard at 6:07 and was spotted by a passenger on the second ship at 7:31

The bridge would have to be alerted and turn the ship around and go back to pick him up.

These are large ships the "Magic" measures 964 feet in length, with a width of 106 and would take a little time to turn around -but it does seem turning around and taking over 3 hours to get back and get him is a long time.

( Unless they had trouble finding him in the water, or some glitch in the rescue attempt.)-Tom
