My favorite is still the girl my sister saw on a local bus. Her nametag for a local department store read ‘ TOI’LET’. She told the woman next to her it was pronounced ‘Twa-Lay’! My sister burst out laughing when she got off the bus. Can’t beat that, IMO!
OMG! I never thought about the whole thing until I was working with these millennials. They have no nicknames like when we were kids and they take themselves and their names very seriously. They literally cannot understand that say my name is Patricia and that I go by Patty. Or a persons name is Robert but they go by Bob. They really just don’t get it.
