I heard a local movie critic, a leftist, say the studio mishandled Selma by refusing to allow critics to view the film in advance of voting. He said only a handful of critics around Atlanta actually saw the film before ballots were due for various film awards.
Apparently some blacks now believe black actors should be nominated for the top awards in their industry without anyone actually seeing them act.
Congress is supposed to pass legislation without reading it so why not movie critics.
