Is Tom Brady telling the truth? Is he lying? Can both scenarios be possible?
Is it remotely plausible that some unnamed, unknown, mystery equipment manager altered the footballs without Brady's knowledge and approval
or did 11 of the Patriots' footballs, but not one of the Colts, nor apparently 12 more backup footballs from the Patriots, lose pressure naturally?

Whoa! That does it. That’s takes the air outta the NE defense!
All 24 balls were inflated in the locker rooms and checked by the referees. They were fine. Then suddenly, something happened to the Patriots balls. Only.
How is that chemistry?
1) Blame it on low level employees in the Cincinati office
2) GRUBER!!!
3) High Biden’s ex-chief of Staff, the “Ebola Czar”. If he can make Ebola go away, he can make deflate gate go away.
What about the refs? The handle the balls and constantly run fresh balls into the game. Do the Refs not notice the balls are under-inflated after they certify the balls are legit and to spec?
Why is no one holding the Refs responsible for missing the infraction and not issuing a penalty?
Off Topic, it’s just like 0bama to not enforce the rules/laws
Seriously? You think the name of your team means that all the people associated with it are patriots, and the ones who aren’t are communist sympathizers? I hope you are kidding.
12 balls each side = 24. What is the mathematical probability that 0% could be deflated on the Colts side and 92% [11 of 12] WERE deflated on the Pats side. 0% ; 92%, evenly divided. each opponent. If fact, the somebody, simply missed the one, dropping it from 100%.
Probability close to zero. I am sure Brady didn't sit on the sidelines with a needle letting air out BUT at 92%, there was a concerted effort. Which means, SOME talking B4 the game, on tactics and timing. Somebody knows who dey are...
Yes.
If a ball starts out at the minimum, it can’t help but fall out of spec if the temperature decreases significantly. Add in the imprecision of gauging and it’s a pretty tough case to prosecute.
Just because the balls are doctored a bit doesn’t make it punishable cheating, other than maybe just poor sportsmanship.
This detail mania is only a big deal because of gambling and fantasy leagues where money is at stake. It used to be just fun.
I worked at a union auto plant, back in the day. We had a “Humidex” rule in the contract > if the plant air temperature went above an agreed level, the plant would shut down for the day.
The Foreman read the thermometer at a 90 degree angle, straight on.
The Union rolled out their shortest member, who looked up to read the thermometer.
Management and Union could never agree on what the thermometer read, and the actual plant temperature.
> If you read the pressure gauge on an angle, the gauge will read 12.5 PSI
We need to modify Cronkites catch phrase
“And that’s the way the narrative is,”
no the NFL are just idiots. the news media is the democrat party. 90% of reporters donate to the democrat party. it’ the news media that gives publicity to the NFL. circuses
Btw, at least half of players and decent commentators view this as stupid. I have no idea why anyone thinks this is a problem, let alone some former players and commentators, considering the score in the second half. I noticed you're still not capable of handling that problem. The Pats destroyed them with regulation balls, they appear to have hurt themselves in the first half without regulation balls.
So let's talk about the Cowboys instead. The call for the Cowboys, against the Lions, the one that turned the game in their favor, now THAT was egregious. That was UNIVERSALLY seen as a terrible injustice, a game changing bad call. I think we should penalize the Cowboys and investigate how that happened.
It's obvious that the Cowboys cheated their way into winning a game, cheated their way to playing Green Bay and didn't win it on the field.
Sorry, but that's true.
Yes, that's right - I really do think that only NE Patriot fans are true Americans, and everyone else is a commie.
I am sorry you are not familiar with irony, as I was referencing "Dr. Strangelove" and the absurdity of this whole debate.
"Lighten up, Francis".
Hockey has all sorts of regulations concerning Hockey stick length, the curve on the blade, etc.
When you see a player use an questionable stick, you ask for a measurement DURING the dang GAME.
Crying about the stick after the game makes you look like a little girl making excuses
Good, I was hoping you were exaggerating. Sorry, I have never seen Dr. Strangelove. I guess it’s about time I do.
But the NFL is hooked up with the UnitedWay.
The media does not make them associate with those folks.
I used the word “appears,” which connotes (sorry if you have to look that up) an impression—something subject to future confirmation—not a fact.
I’ve not followed this story breathlessly as I have more important things to tend to; but in what I’ve read and seen reported, I don’t recall any statements from any of the officials from that game.
Maybe you should consider switching to decaf.
If there was a congressional hearings it would be the first time since Watergate that all networks would televise them.
Umm...they did a measurement on the first questionable ball right away, and then checked the others at halftime.
Unfortunately, all the rest of this info has been dribbled out in bits and pieces since then.
The NFL is a joke. If they were ever serious about rules, they could quickly and easily get to the bottom of things. They feign having integrity. All they really want is money.
Make a rules change to prevent this from happening in the future. Fine the Patriots organization, and when the Super Bowl is over, ban whoever from the NFL.
Right now, the worst punishment they can get is the beating they are going to take from the Seahawks. After that, find out who is guilty, and ban them from the NFL.
Thanks!
I did not know that.
In fact I watched CNN this morning at breakfast. CNN is sticking to the narrative. They do not report what happened at halftime and during the game
