BILL BELICHICK BRILLIANTLY SCHOOLS THE NFL, AND THE LEAGUE HAS NO ANSWER

In the year of Ray Rice, Adrian Peterson and Greg Hardy, they've somehow managed to trump serious cases of domestic abuse by blowing a silly, inane, moronic controversy over the inflation of game balls into a national story that gets more sublime and ridiculous by the day.

The league didn't take their time and do due diligence on what really mattered in the Ray Rice case, and delivered a hasty judgment that Commissioner Roger Goodell admitted was ill-conceived.

Now, they're taking their sweet time to decide who may have taken too much air out of the balls, a violation that is punishable by a minimum $25,000 fine. This is no more serious than hockey players playing with an illegal stick or, as we saw in 1983 with George Brett, hitting with a doctored, pine-tarred bat.

Talk about having your priorities all screwed up.

everyone agrees that the patriots would have won the indy game no matter
how much or little the footballs were inflated.
so, just move on and put procedures in place to control the process moving forward.
belichick didnt brilliantly school anyone, however.

I remember how the league had the Pat’s back when a denver receiver ran an illegal pick in the playoffs last season. Instead of admitting the ref blew the call, they said it was a bang-bang play, yada yada, excuse excuse...

Your pictures are cute and creative. Just not factual. The NFL didn’t even have to stand up for the pats, just admit what the video showed. And they didn’t.

11 deflated footballs plus the ridiculous denials are just some proof.

Excellent post

but there is a simpler and much cheaper experiment. Watch your wife berate your 12 year old about bouncing the Wilson basketball in the kitchen to the point where he is forced to dribble the ball in the driveway at 45 degrees F. Wait for 30 minutes, at which point the lad comes back into the house complaining that the ball doesn’t bounce.

Ergo, reduction in temperature equals reduction in pressure.

With this controversy we see the NFL, in swim trunks and leather jacket, in mid-air above the shark.

If these balls are significantly deflated, can’t the officials tell when they handle the ball between plays?

Can a D-back not tell when he picks one off?

That’s how they found out the balls were not fully aired, interceptions, the balls didn’t feel right. Happened in the Colts/Patriots game in November, happened again in this last game.

The investigation is not done yet. But don't you worry...GOODELL will let his KRAFT Darlings off the hook and it will be swept under the rug. So relax, don't worry about anything.

What if Brady and Belichick said they’d take lie-detector tests? Interesting. May be the only way to plausibly lower suspicions if they are telling the truth. And I know the polygraph tests lack a lot to be desired.

That’s what I’d do if I didn’t do anything wrong and did not know anything about this.

No more artwork? I was hoping to see your ‘Duke Lacrosse’ line...

How many teams admitted to taping signals, and how many got fined for it? Oh yeah, just the darlings of the NFL got fined...

Give it up. On second thought, keep it up. Quality time with photoshop might be just what the doctor ordered...

I’ve heard this explanation from other sources and I’m starting to think it’s reasonable. I’ve also been bothered that the refs didn’t notice any change, before and after every play when they handled the football.

You mean besides the fact that at halftime the Pats balls were found to be under inflated and the Colts balls were within regulation. You mean no hard evidence like that?

For those who think that players cannot tell the difference and that under-inflated balls do not give an advantage...
