It can only be eaten once a year.....because it takes a year to get the taste out of the mouth. I have about 8 months to go.

What was that sauce our soldiers encountered in Vietnam during the war? I think it was called "Nucnam" or something like that and it was prepared a year in advance by burying fish heads in a crock and digging it up when it was splendidly ripe.

I understand one's breath odor lasted about a year with that stuff too.
