I LIKE it!
“She’s breaking up! She’s breaking up! *bwooooosh*”
Steve Auk-in, a bird barely alive..
*Intro to the 6 million dollar bird*
It’ll be a hit.
Shawn of the Dread quit. I didn’t have to do anything. Of course, it means I have to train a new aide, but maybe that’s a good thing. Shawn was complaining about driving “all the way out” here for two people on the same day.
Hopefully, he will remember to empty the waste baskets at the new places he will be assigned...
Maybe you’ll get a good one next time. At least you’re meeting lots of different people!
On the Topic: Becoming a Freemason has not made daffy Pierre in “War and Peace” any less of a dingbat. I’m on Disc 16 out of 25 in Part One. Maybe I’ll finish it by Easter, if I do lots of dishes and cooking.
Your story reminds me of....
When I lived in Turkey, on the economy, guys would come around and ask to buy *anything* American.
My neighbor’s wife found out that they would pay $10. per copy of Playboy mags. Well, as it turned out, this gal’s hubbie subscribed to Playboy. The guy came around and paid her $100. for a stack of mags. Next day, he came back.....screaming at the top of his lungs in Farsi, he wanted this money back...b/c all the centerfolds were missing. The gal who sold the mags to the Turk had been ripping the centerfolds out and using them as a liner to the cat’s litterbox, b/c they *fit* perfectly. Good times. Good times.
I used to buy the “Charlotte Observer” just to line the snake’s cage.
Sure, ping me. I may never comment, but your kitteh is part of my daily routine.
Thanks
The Times-Picayune of NOL has a larger page format.....that used to fit perfectly to cover large worktables in my classroom ....2 sheets and done.
We both made good use of the newsprint....that’s all it’s good for.
The new aide will be here on Wednesday at 0800, as opposed to the “suggested” date and time of 1100 on Friday. NOT!!!!
It’s so hard to train the new aides, though, and it stresses me for several days. Seems Shawn didn’t like the drive over here, which explains why he was late so often. But at least I don’t have to put up with his gloom and doom.
My BP was up this morning, but it’s because I didn’t sleep well last night, so as soon as I forage for something to fill the maw, I will head for bed. Maybe I’ll find something to read on the Kindle that I forgot I had...
LOL!
Good one! I love cats that appreciate art! My daughter always made sure PV had a good shot at reading Garfield.... She said they were both cats so PV would understand the humor. My daughter was nine.
You could always just post *lurk* after you’ve gotten your kitteh fix... Lots of folks lurk. :o] You’re still most welcome to join in...
You’re welcome!
There was certainly no point in reading the Observer.
Cute!
Mike Lupica is a great sportswriter... just when he starts babbling his Leftist drool be sure kitty has the comics section. I suggest Mallard Fillmore on the wall, and Doonesbury lining the litterbox.
Good suggestion. Doonesbury is such an excellent litterliner...
Problem up here is that our local communist rag has quit carrying Mallard...
All cats should appreciate the cerebral humor of Dilbert. Plus, of course, there’s Catbert, an excellent role model.
Beaver problem in town called Beaverton in the Beaver State
Wonder how they'd fare in NYC's Central Park...
