A .45 is about adequate; unsurprisingly, I’ve found you can shoot one several times with 9mm hardball before they go down.
You read my mind. I think Jack rabbits are not good eating as they are stringy and carry a lot of disease.
lol - and as much as I love our pet rabbits (we’ve had 10 in our lives) - these are feral and in the least, they should end up on a plate....In college we had a field practicum out in the woods, the prof took some students to his house to kill some domestic (escapee) rabbits that lived under his barn - they came back with a pile - we roasted them over a wood fire and enjoyed one of the best meals of my life.
