Even the staunchest of conservatives and libertarians understands that a civilized society needs to provide some level of support for those who are sick, disabled, or simply going through a rough period like losing a job.

Oh, I don’t know about that.

Nope not this conservative libertarian.

I you want unemployment insurance why does the government have to be the supplier of that insurance.

I buy long term and short term disability insurance through my employer why should unemployment insurance be different.

The private sector can do most everything better and cheaper than government. Healthcare insurance is the most resent proof of that statement.

Fraud prevention and detection of insurance fraud is much better in the private sector and is just one way that cost are kept lower in the private sector.

I disagree totally with the author’s above statement.
