As silly as that idea was, the idea that running with a back who was 1 for 5 in those situations, and had just been stopped for a loss, forcing a punt, on the previous good drive to make the score is just as silly.
As a Pats fan I find it quite amazing all the second guessing about the call as the Lynch was stopped 4 out of 5 times from the 1 yard line, but the talking, guessing heads just babble on and on. Like the deflated balls story, Pats scored 17 points with them and 28 without them. Raises the question, "Did someone sabotage the balls before the first half?"
Gotta hand it to the punsters that came up withe the caption "The Butler Did It!"
