Friends of the family were packing out their deceased parent's things and putting books into boxes to give away. One of the siblings tossed a book, which opened up, and out flew hundred dollar bills. They then started going through all of the books and found over $18,000.

Goodness! How great! What a find!
My grandmother found a roll of small currency rolled up a sock in the drawer of my grandfather when he passed. It wasn’t much money, but I think she knew it was there.

Always, always, always, fan through a book before you dispose of it. I can’t say I’ve ever found anything, but I can say with almost 100% certainty I’ve never missed anything.
