Some years back, black pro sports players named Boston as the most racist city they visited.
Weren't the Red Sox the last team to get a black player? The great Celtic teams of the '80s featured Larry Bird and Danny Ainge. And heck, I don't think ANY of the Bruins have ever been black!

They have black players in the organization and actually had the first black player ever in the NHL: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Willie_O%27Ree
Just died recently actually.

Actually, the very first black NHL player, Willie O’Ree, played for the Boston Bruins in 1958. The Bruins also had Grahame Townshend and currently have goaltender Malcolm Subban, who was their backup tonight against the Islanders. There have been other blacks on the team but their names slip my mind right now.
The premise of this article, by the way, is preposterous.

As far as the Celtics go, They were the first Professional Franchise to have 5 black players starting and Black head Coach, Bill Russell.
The idea that Belicheck prefers players based on race as opposed to the ability to help the team win is ludicrous.

Perhaps the Boston teams provide a home for white players which get rejected from other teams because of anti-white sentiment?
If they were passing up more-qualified blacks, you would expect their win/loss stats to suffer.
