Then you were wrong when you said the death rate was .017% or I made a math error. I don’t see that I made a math error. People are forced by the Government to pay taxes and have health care. The Government is not forcing people to take a vax. But, there may be consequences, like not being allowed in school, or fired from work.
Umm, how would an “unvaccinated mongrel” impart a risk to a vaccinated “young one” ?
I took the worst case scenario; 500 deaths per 3,000,000 infected is 0.017% and 1000 injuries per 3,000,000 infected is 0.03%. The CDC gave the ranges of 300 - 500 deaths and an additional 1000 injuries per year with 3 - 5 million infections.
I don’t have a problem with schools or private businesses requiring proof of vaccination prior to entry. For every decision there is a consequence.
Young one ie. under the age of one (they can’t get vaccinated). Also kids, with compromised immune systems like cancer and such.
Actually, the CDC says children as young as 6 months old can be vaccinated for MMR if they’re traveling to an area with high rates of the disease.
dear roos,
That IS the bright side.
This says 12 months but if that is true then parents should be getting their kids in at 6 months.

The “normal” schedule is 12 months, but the CDC says if you’re traveling, particularly internationally, it can be done at 6 months. However, they still recommend the “normal” 2 doses at age 12 months and then 4 - 6 years old. So you would have to do a total of 3 MMRs.
