How dangerous is that to have these hunters walk around with bows that are almost like machine guns? And who knows about it?
With that said, the Parker Tornado is my crossbow of choice.

If you have 10 acres in PW county you can fire a gun on your property.

Well we are wild to get one. :-)

I have always heard that it is a 3 acre rule in PW.

Thats my county. I counted 8 does in my front yard this weekend. I counted 14 does in my yard a few months back. Were overrun with them. The population of deer is higher this year for some reason. I never see a buck though. ;-)
My county, too. The population of coyote is also way up (or at least it sounds like it is, at night). I have seen them hunt deer, and there have supposedly been a number of bobcat sightings, as well.

My very urban lot is overrun with deer. I wish I could legally hunt, just for the meat.

I like the bobcat presence.
They keep the mice down.
I have never heard of them attacking children.

It is a chore. But there are many places that will do the butchering for you.

Bows and arrows are right out. They dare not allow anyone to have knives, either. or pointy sticks...

Here in Massachusetts, the setbacks for archery are the same as shotgun hunting for deer. (Sorry but rifles aren’t allowed for deer hunting here.)
You have to maintain such a distance from roads and buildings that it’s tough to find a legal spot for hunting, at least here in the crowded eastern half of the state. Archery works well in close quarters but the state treats bows and shotguns the same. I would love to see some changes to those rules.

But not 5, as I learned the hard way.
