The water has resistance as does the human. In my experience, one wouldn’t even feel it.
No, they are used. Still, wall sockets are forbidden to be installed inside wet rooms. Probably, the GSF is considered a meausure totally eliminating the risk.
I opened this post to dispute that, but apparently the median age of American homes is 35 years, right about the time GFCIs came into common use. My experience -- of never living anywhere that new -- is clearly atypical.
You don’t think the trophy wives/girlfriends/mistresses and bimbos have mirrors in rooms other than the bathroom? That’s the part I’m having difficulty buying.
I was mistaken, the current Russian electric installation regulations allow wall sockets in a bathroom in a distance not less than 2 feet from a bathtub, shower or sink if a GCF switch is used, the sockets are of the IPX1 type and the outlet is installed through an isolation transformer.
