Some Americans still have ideals—like those who fought in WW I as part of the Lafalette Escodril flying underpowered Newport 17 against Albatrosses and Fokkers. Or the Americans who fought in Africa against Musolini’s Air Force in his land grab in Ethopia—or the pilots (like Pappy Boyington) who flew the P-40s against the Zeros as members of the Flying Tigers. War planes are too complex today but I feel a few P-51 might be helpful in putting down ISLS.
