My Mom liked Herb Albert. Also Johnny Mathis and Barbra Streisnad. Yeah, she’s a political moron, but she does have an incredible singing voice.

I had a Star Wars album by the London Philharmonic, that I played over and over.

I was/am a pretty avid reader. ESPECIALLY space science fiction. I remember reading the Star Wars novel, while having the album playing, just to relive some of the emotion the movie tapped into.

My dad had a Reel-to-Reel deck, he purchased a tape from American Airlines which had a sampler of all of the A&M artists from that era: Herb Alpert, Sergio Mendes and Brasil 66, Antonio Carlos Jobim, etc. I used to play that all the time as a kid, loved it.
