Buying pasteurized milk in the stores is not safe either.
Just because it’s pasteurized, doesn’t mean all the bacteria was killed, nor does it mean it was handled properly between pasteurization and consumption.

I drank raw milk for years. One of our friends ran a dairy and we would get raw, whole milk out of the collection tank. The entire operation was more sanitary than most kitchens and the milk was much better—not to mention the cream. Besides pasteurization, all commercial milk is processed in centrifuges and then an exact percentage of milk fat is returned to produce 1, 2% or “whole” milk. Real milk is not globules and particulates in suspension—it is a natural emulsion. The process changes the taste, texture and composition of milk and it is never the smooth, creamy drink that was real milk.
You idiots forcing your paranoia on every aspect of society stand opposed to liberty. Fresh raw milk is completely safe as long as good hygiene is followed. The scare-mongering of your modern zero-tolerance crowd is pure propaganda. Yes, people die from contaminated food—but not many—and the vast majority are from large commercial producers. These regulations are not about public safety; they are designed to restrict free commerce and personal freedom. Consuming raw milk does not affect society at all. It is a personal choice—and yes, I believe that parents can choose for their children as well.
Ultimately, it’s none of your damn business what I, or anyone else, consume. I would rather die of botulism while cursing all you government nannies than curl up in a safe little corner with the taste of pablum in my mouth as the breath leaves my pathetic, weak, government-approved body. You will take the teats from our cold, dead hands...

Agreed! Grew up on a small farm in MN, raised dairy cattle for awhile, drank raw milk, and CREAM, etc. Never an issue. These days, you get a couple of morons getting sick from raw milk, and the alarms ring all over the country.

We have been drinking healthy raw milk for years. From healthy cows. It is a live food, rich in enzymes (thus people who can’t drink killed milk can often enjoy it), healthy bacteria, and your gut bugs love it. Gut bugs = your immune system.
And no, we have never gotten sick from it, ever. Sorry. My gut bacteria have been tested and I have a very healthy mix. I don’t mind if you drink neurotoxic aspartame or eat canned soup filled with msg. Bon appetit. But leave me my raw milk, please. If gays can get married, can’t I drink raw milk??
