When I was growing up, my sister had dairy cows on their farm. We drank raw milk all the time. Never got e coli or anything else.

I guess if you don’t take the time to wash the tits and make sure your milking equipment is clean, maybe.

I wouldn’t want to buy raw milk in store though, that’s for sure. I would want to make sure I knew where it came from and how much handling it had and how it was stored and etc etc etc.

But raw milk is not unsafe by any means.

I worked on a dairy farm and clean was the order of the day again and again throughout the day.

Poor sanitation is a far greater danger than raw milk.

Buying pasteurized milk in the stores is not safe either.

Just because it’s pasteurized, doesn’t mean all the bacteria was killed, nor does it mean it was handled properly between pasteurization and consumption.
