A prequel of Mike from his days as a cop to when he finally meets Jimmy (Saul) would be interesting. They could call it “Half Measures” based on the conversation he had with Walt.

Nah, I can’t see that. Why would he keep a boring, minimum wage day job? It’s not really a job he can up and leave in the middle of the day if he gets a call, either.
Also, remember, he wasn’t a “cleaner”, per se, when BB started. He was a PI for Saul, who just happened to be willing to help out with less than legal jobs. I think Saul just hires him once he starts making money, since he knows that Mike is an ex-cop with good instincts who probably needs money.
