Gor is considered to be the sci-fi version of Mein Kampf today, while “50 Shades” is mainstream fiction.

We’re in the dark ages now!

Ah yes, the Gor novels. Tarl Cabot and the counter-earth.

The author, John Norman, would go off on these endless digressions regarding human sexual roles, dominance and submission, etc., but, spaced in between all that schlock was a very engaging and vivid fantasy/sci-fi mythos.

I haven't ready any of the Gor stuff in over 20 years, probably, but I imagine that I've read all but the last few entries in the series. Certainly 20 books or so. They even made a cheesy movie or two about it.
