You’ve bought into the lie.
Buying stuff on sale doesn’t necessarily “save” you money. That stuff takes up space in the house and if you’re worried about saving a little money chances are you’re not in a mansion with space to spare. Also requires good organization and knowing what you’ve got so you don’t overbuy and waste money on stuff you’ve already stocked up on.
There are other things to consider. I like bargains but the house can get cluttered with bargains thinking you’re coming out ahead. PLus $10 turning into $150 puts you down $150 in reality. Regardless that is debt. Not everyone can afford to have trips cost 10-20 times what they expected to pay even if stuff is on sale.
I think BJ1 was being funny about the sale stuff. I do know some people that would benefit reading your post.
Just about everything I buy is on sale, it is the way to buy most everything.
There is a difference between buying your goods on sale, and being seduced by sales, into buying something that you aren’t actually going to use.
