Yeah, that whole rollover hazard thing was cooked up by Consumer Reports to make it look like it was a problem that really wasn’t.
I still have 2 RD400’s from when I was in High School and an RZ500 just for fun.
Yamaha makes an naturally aspirated inline four cylinder four stroke for their 600cc sport bikes that produces 125hp and red lines around 16,000 rpm. I had the de-tuned version in the FZ6 model. Top speed indicated on the speedometer (which IS a bit optimistic) that I’ve seen was 154 mph.

I like this better.... http://www.eliomotors.com/gallery/#photos
I keep reading stories about them. But production always seems to be 2 years off.
I’m sure $2 gas isn’t helping the sales forecast.
Well, try this POS.
This Car claims the "Lowest center of gravity"
I actually spoke with the CEO not long ago and while I admire the passion he has for his vision, I can't wrap my head around why anybody would ever buy one of these.

I know! My husband keeps checking in on them, and they always seem to be on the verge of production, but don’t seem to get there. They should go on Shark Tank and see if they can get some decent funding/backing. I would LOVE to have one, or two.
Whoa...that’s a lotta bike.
It’s tuning forks badge
I don’t know that those things WOULD do a complete roll over.
But I rather imagine that in a sharp turn they might FALL over on their side, or in a strong breeze, blow over on their side.
Rollover, tip over, Pool, pond ?
It was a “project bike”. Bought it used from a local Honda dealer for $700.00. It was all there, but the carbs were in a box in about 100 pieces.
Yamaha’s logo is 3 tuning forks.
I know a guy in SC that does carbs. He’s a carb artist, and reasonable.
The price they are touting is very low. I’m dubious that they can produce it anywhere near that level, let alone pay for the capital investment and make a profit.
That was years ago. I had them all back together and had it running again in a couple of weeks of spare time. It ran great, but every once in a while the transmission would jam. Then one day I was changing the oil and a piece of aluminum about the size of a pencil eraser fell out in the drain pan.
Long story short, it had apparently dropped a piston at some point, and whoever repaired it didn't get all the pieces out of the bottom end. That was the only piece they missed, but I had it in about as many pieces as it gets in before I got that all figured out.
I think the tilt gauge was stuck to the center of the dash like an afterthought, but it was a new vehicle.
Speaking of seat of the pants tilt gauge, my work pickup is a 3/4 ton 4wd and I spend lots of miles offroad. Ever notice you can safely tilt more when you are on the uphill side than the downhill side?
Is it a Seca Turbo?
