he Philadelphia Eagles and Buffalo Bills agreed to a rare blockbuster challenge trade on Tuesday, sending shockwaves through the NFL.
The Eagles are flipping two-time All-Pro running back LeSean McCoy to Buffalo in exchange for linebacker Kiko Alonso, NFL Media columnist Michael Silver reports, via a source involved in the deal. The swap will not become official until the new league year starts on March 10.

What’s up with that?
I am a Buffalo Fan but I was spoiled rotten during the Jim Kelly Superbowl years and can’t stand to watch them lose year after year now...

My guess is the Eagles will try to move up in the draft to get Mariota. Really liked McCoy in college, wanted the Browns to draft him, but of course they didn’t. Good deal for Buffalo.

McCoy is a very talented running back, but he regressed last year. He was very tentative hitting holes, and subsequently danced around too much. He is very shallow minded between the ears also. I question his character.
What kind of dude is this Alonso guy?

McCoy is at the end of his rope (6 years/1500 carries) and Alonso was a tremendous LB before his injury last year....this clears a ton of cap space for the Eagles in a year that 1) will be stocked with good running backs in FA that they can get on the cheap 2) on paper one of the best RB draft’s in a long time...

Philly saves money, but get a rather weak return.
It all fits into Chip Kelly’s “R.u.n.n.i.n.g g.a.m.e? What’s that?” offense.
