A debate in abstract is an appeal to logic and reason. A debate with Warren would be an appeal to genitalia. Walker would reference actual facts, which are meaningless. Warren would reference grandiose utopian ideals, none of which ever have to work. She’d win.

I recently read her autobiography. Among other things, she addresses the controversy over her claim of Indian ancestry without referring to the Boston Herald article that broke the story or the issues that it raised, and she tells the story of the housing bubble without even mentioning Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac in the text, blaming the entire debacle on private enterprise. Other questionable claims include a story that her parents eloped, although a journalist digging into the tale produced evidence that they didn’t.

But one thing the book does make clear is that she is solidly on the left side of the political spectrum.
