Is it the motorcycle? I think part of it was the job. But seriously, can you see Daryl coming up to a new group and being persuasive enough (and non threatening) to get them to come back to Alexandria? I might trust Aaron, but would probably flee when I saw Daryl.
Excellent point. Of all of them, Daryl would be the last one suited as a "recruiter" due to his hostile appearance and mannerisms. So what would be the reason behind asking Daryl to take that task? Hmmm....

As papertyger said above, he would be back-up/oversight. But, on the flipside, Eric would have met the group on the drive back. So would Daryl then as well.
One thing that was odd that Aaron made it sound like several groups have auditioned ("I usually drive back") but I didn't get that from Deanna, etc.
