Wisconsin Becomes 25th Right-to-Work State
American Legislator ^ | 3-9-15 | Cara Sullivan

Posted on 03/09/2015 1:59:12 PM PDT by ThethoughtsofGreg

Earlier today, following rigorous debate in the legislature, Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker signed into law SB 44, a right-to-work bill that makes union dues and participation optional for workers. SB 44 will further expand employee rights in Wisconsin and help create an atmosphere hospitable to economic growth.

Right-to-work laws grant employees the freedom of choosing whether to financially support a union by prohibiting the payment of dues as a condition of employment. The implementation of voluntary union dues maximizes individual freedom in the pursuit of employment while holding unions more accountable to their members. Under a non-right-to-work state’s system of forced unionism, unions are less accountable to members because employees have no choice but to pay dues. Optional entry will now create higher quality representation as unions must prove their worth to employees. The result will be better representation for those employees who do choose to be a part of the union.

Wisconsin is now a pro-choice state. You choose if you pay union dues.

According to Mark Belling today, Walker was late to this cause. This is two expedient stands in the past few weeks. It’s something to consider.

Yeah, St. Paul was late to the cause, too. We probably ought to have ignored him as well, right?

Wisconsin’s welfare is still very, very generous.

We have still quite a bit of socialism in the bureaucratic levels of government, and a lot of libtard groups in Madistan and Milwaukee. Lotsa socialism still abounds finding new ways to confiscate money from peoples’ pockets.

Socialists never thank the people they take money from. They actually demand to be thanked by those they take from, like with this money they’re doing them a favor or something. That’s the difference between giving money to a real charity group and govt. And also the charity group has real compassion towards those it helps. Govt does not because government is not set up to be compassionate. Think VA, think DMV, think IRS, and that is what govt compassion is.

But it got done.

Please list the actual accomplishments (not speeches, not position papers, ACCOMPLISHMENTS) of your current favorite candidate.

Yes, it can be considered good strategy and timing.

Behold what he has accomplished, he has literally destroyed one of the commie pillars (unions) in his state! Only TWO protesters showed up for the signing of this bill:

Scott Walker is a winner!

Yep, that picture of one protester is laughable.

You can consider it that way if you want to.

Walker is smart and knows what he’s doing.

Bottom line: He signed a good bill and the Unions are beside themselves.

Had Walker done this two months ago, there would be little attention paid to the event. Instead, it is covered by the national media as a story of importance because Walker is running for the GOP nomination.

That is brilliant politics...to me.

You see it as a negative.

This clearly illustrates what is wrong with many conservatives today....they are right on the issues, but do not know how to play the game of politics to advance the agenda.

So, these conservatives oppose anyone who knows how to get things done....like Walker....and support conservatives who can accomplish nothing.

Correct. Now it is time to move on to Missouri. West Virginia. New Mexico. Maine and even Pennsylvania. All are considering Right to Work legislation to some degree. RTW has the Big Mo!
