It seems the opposite to me. It says that if Tim can’t get a QB job, there is a glut of superior quarterbacks in the NFL.

A glut of superior QBs in the NFL?!? I'm guessing you don't watch much football.

That Tebow can't even get a job riding the pine for a team like the Raiders, Browns, Titans, Chiefs, Jaguars, Cardinals, Redskins, Bills, Texans, Buccaneers, Jets or Rams should tell you all you need to know.

I dare say I watch more football than average.

But this is a matter of logic. If Tim is that good and can’t get a job, it means he isn’t as good as what they have already. And that doesn’t point to a shortage.

Precisely. He’s just bad. The fact that Steve Young and Roger Staubach were 30 before taking over is irrelevant. They are hall of famers.

Tebow is young enough and appears to be in shape. Plus, we have to assume he’d benefit from a few years of not getting pounded. The question is, can he play???

You’re 100% correct. Forget starting, if he can’t even backup someone crappy, that speaks volumes.
