I always think of him when I think of my own Leatherstocking type ancestor who was in the Provincial Army at that same period.. He was killed fighting the French and Indians at Lake George, Sept 1755
He was said to be handsome and charmed his future MIL with the gift of his Irish tongue.. My 6th ggrandma refused to marry anyone else..
