what passes for Mexican in the US isn’t really any of them,

Amen.

I had to go to an isolated community high up in NM to find 'real' mexican food. And I think most of that was actually native american.

Most poverty foods like mexican, italian, and asian are a wide range and can't be always tied down.

I like "American" cuisine, Mexican, German, Greek, Chinese, and Japanese foods. Not much of a fan of French nor English dishes. (which is odd, given my English heritage)

I don't think my like nor dislike of any particular food or food styles has anything to do with how I treat people from a particular race or geographic area. Unlike libtards, I don't immediately label everything and everyone. I'm quite happy with friends, acquaintances, and coworkers who are just that, friends, acquaintances, and coworkers. I don't have "xyz friends" or "pdq coworkers" where xyz and pdq are the protected or hot-topic demographic de-jure.

Racist, racism...sheesh. I guess when all you've got is a hammer, everything starts looking like a nail. How sad that some people live their lives in a perpetual state of crisis or offense at this or that. Effin' relax people. Don't take yourselves so seriously, honestly, no one really cares all that much.

"It's all been dumbed down on purpose."

My brother: Did you watch Obama's state of the union?
Me: Why would I watch that lying buffoon….
My brother: That's racist.

In the unit on brakes in a car repair class, we learned about ‘master’ and ‘slave’ cylinders.

The instructor, a friend of mine, later told me he wondered how those words would go over.

But the class was full of people who wanted to learn, and/or get a job. PC was not on their mind.

No problem.

In Wisconsin there are numerous foods prepared by white people who use mayonnaise to prepare the foods. I hate mayonnaise...so therefore even though I’m white, I must be a racist against white people.

...of course, I really really like sushi, so I’m only a Nazist, not an Axisist....

There in no food I don’t like so I can’t be racist.
(except olives and pickles)

I have a Chinese friend, absolutely hates Chinese food. What does that make him?

College kids do know a lot. The problem is, it is all wrong. I have found it easier to teach someone who is ignorant of a subject, then to work with someone who is incapable of "unlearning" a subject.

Their minds are developed and it is difficult to undo the damage. This is the evil progressivism does to the soul.

Up above Las Vegas, NM, about 40 miles out of town.

Really isolated.

Las Vegas, NM has a great (had, I don't know if they are still there) restaurant toward the south end. Friendlies was the name of it.

Good Christian owners, and GREAT food. I loved the menudo.

Never had the nerve to try menudo, can’t get past what it is. My grandparents wouldn’t have cared, they were farmers, practical Depression-era people. Me, I can’t bring myself to eat it. Spoiled by suburban upbringing, I guess.

I thought Menudo was a Mexican boy-band.

I had a piece of sushi once that I kinda liked.
But didn’t think to ask the name of it, so I can’t try it again... and I’m not gonna risk trying the various others in an attempt to find the one I do like.

It was a boy-band, apparently named after the food, which is made with tripe. Can’t get past that to try it.

I use to eat pretty much EVERYTHING. Part of the job. Didn't always mean I wanted a full helping. But I at least tried it. If other people eat it, it ain't gonna kill me.

These days, being sick on top of everything else, I'm pretty picky about what I eat because I just mechanically can't eat some stuff.

I loved the Chick-Fil-A regular sandwich, but I can't eat them now.
