There’s more than one type of Mexican food, and what passes for Mexican in the US isn’t really any of them, it’s more Tex-Mex. Mexican people can be Caucasian, a variety of different Indio groups or anywhere in between.

So, how can it be racist to dislike American Tex-Mex?

Amen.

I had to go to an isolated community high up in NM to find 'real' mexican food. And I think most of that was actually native american.

Most poverty foods like mexican, italian, and asian are a wide range and can't be always tied down.

From my experience the Mexican food in the USA is better than Mexican food in Mexico. Ditto Chinese food and China.
