Just remember, Ronald Reagan couldn’t win either.

You crystallized something that occurred to me today when I heard clips from Cruz's speech. His speech was positive and uplifting. That was, from what I gather, what made Reagan popular in a time of malaise (I was a young kid at that time). That positive attitude about America would stand in stark contrast to Lizzy 'Fakeawatha' Warren and her "system is rigged" nonsense or Hillary's continuation of the Obama Depression. Enough for a win.
