Jeremy Clarkson said today he has not 'heard a thing' from the BBC despite claims bosses have already decided to sack him. The corporation's internal investigation has reportedly concluded the star, 54, launched a 30-second physical attack on a Top Gear producer during their steak dinner 'fracas'. Clarkson was suspended two weeks ago for allegedly punching Oisin Tymon in the face when he was offered a plate of cold cuts instead of steak and chips after a long day of filming. Sources have said that the BBC allegedly found Clarkson spent 20 minutes verbally abusing the producer in a luxury North Yorkshire hotel before launching a 30-second physical assault. But Mr Clarkson tweeted today: 'Just to keep everyone up to date, I haven't heard a thing', despite speculation that Lord Hall, the Director General of the BBC, will today announce that he has been fired.

He laughed when Piers was fired. I guess Piers will have the last laugh.

Do we really need another loose cannon?

CNN should hire him and give him the former slot they gave Piers.

Clarkson will get more work.

Morgan won't.

Got to love a guy who refuses to do PC. And his bridge having a “slope” comment was absolutely genius.

“The engine sounds like Barry White chewing on wasps”.

My favorite was (and I wish I could find it now) him describing and engine revving being like the sound he would make had he dropped the soap in a public bath:

waaaAAAAAAAAAAHHHH!!!

Car and Driver or Road and Track would hire him to do columns for then in a hot second. If the BBC hires 3 new guys for Top Gear it will be cancelled in a fortnight. Clarkson does rag on American car often. but he’s a equal opportunity offender. He rags on everybody’s cars for one thing or another.

One of my favorite lines is: “The air conditioning in Lamborghinis used to be an asthmatic sitting in the dashboard blowing at you through a straw.”

An enterprising soul could probably develop a website with his best lines. He definitely had some zingers. Host: Dennis Miller?

Jay Leno's new show is still in the pre-production stage. Be a perfect time to make it "global".

One of the cable channels tried to do an Yank version of “Top Gear” and it flopped.

I knew that as soon as Jeremy Clarkson sold his stake in Top Gear a few years ago that the BBC execs would fire him as soon as an opportunity came up as it did. The British paper, Daily Mail has had many stories over the years bashing Jeremy Clarkson. I suspected they were planted articles from BBC execs like the one that made a comment that he was like serial paedophile Jimmy Savile (which the BBC covered up his crimes for over 40 years and paid off his victims). Top Gear without Clarkson will fail but socialists at the BBC do not care as they have the taxpayers money.

Clarkson fights back with furious attack on his BBC bosses: He brings in lawyers over Savile comparison by ‘senior TV executive’

It sounds to me like Clarkson's punching the producer isn't what really got him in hot water - it was his calling the producer a "lazy Irish c***". Naturally, the hounds of "racism" have been released.

IMO, said "lazy Irish c***" would be well-advised to lay low for a few weeks, until the heat dies down.

I wonder what will become of the guy Clarkson hit?
He will be known as the one who killed Top Gear.
