That pic you posted is me looking at my score; I told ya this was going to be a rough one for me. Entertaining race but fell asleep several times while watching the recording last night. We’ve been making hay with the nice weather (aka working our butts off outside) but snow is due to return tomorrow.

Messing with the tires is always big trouble. And this stuff isn’t that difficult to find, it’s just monitoring tire pressure vs. time and temp.
Sprint cars actually use bleeder valves (legal in that series) to accomplish the same thing.
Seems like a very low probability of getting away with this in Cup racing.
wonder how many teams have been doing it, who told... etc. That hurts for Newman.
They’ve changed car spec’s and made vehicle modifications numerous times in the last few years. Tires, however seem to be the sacred stone and unmodifiable. It’s amazing we don’t care about lug nuts anymore but to even have rain tires - sacre bleu!
In Las Vegas this week. Wanted to see Lake Bellagio and the water show before Cali comes to steal the water. Saw Elton John’s show at Caesars last night. Dude has an amazing powerful rich voice. Rose Stone ( wife of Sly - Sly and the Family Stone ) and their daughter Lisa are back up singers for John. Great fun.
