Thank God! It’ a silly Brit soap opera.
Oh, c’mon! The fashions, the cars, and the table settings are amazing. You don’t have to watch it, if you don’t like it.
Although I count myself as a fan, I agree that it is time for it to end. I’m sick of the whiny Edith, the nasty Mary, and the insipid Cora.
Thank you, BBC! No more *itchy Mary! No more stupid expressions from dumb*hit Elizabeth McGovern! No more historic revisionism regarding the oh-so-ahead-of-their-time acceptance of homosexuality! And no more treating poor Edith like she’s a social untouchable.
Soap opera, yes. But it’s incredibly well done. Everything about it from the filming, to the acting, to the costumes, to the writing, to the music is excellent.
