Well, are you the arbitrator of the advice I give the person that posted this request seeking advice, "...Any ideas would be very much appreciated!"? I didn't think so.

My advice to them was to dump the PC that runs the MS Windows operating system and the antiquated Internet Explorer browser software completely and get a Mac instead. Any idiot, including me, can operate a Mac and its Safari browser without instruction. My very young grandkids just intuitively operate the Mac and have never been taught how to do so. I'm sure the poster's "older relative" would find it easy to use.

I notice of the three comments you made on this thread, two were directed at criticizing my comments. Without intentionally disparaging you personally, I suggest you follow your own advice regarding restricting your comments strictly to the PC software thread or alternatively, mind your own beeswax.

Why so defensive?

Regardless, to address your point about the reliability of Windows vs. Apple, since Windows has about a 90% share of the global market, I would expect more crashes for Win machines than for Apple machines overall. We all know that both do have the occasional problem.
