That’s been the same experience here in SoCal.

We had that too in Socal. When we lived in an open community, we would have families come, little kids in costume with their bags open for candy, even though no one even taught them the basic English words “trick or treat.” Behind them would be mama and Papi, uncostumed, WITH OPEN BAGS FOR CANDY TOO. Um, no.
