I thought I'd let you know about my surprise windfall. According to an email from a Nigerian prince, I won a Nigerian lottery. He holds the sum of ONE MILLION DOLLARS in my name and he wants to send it to me. All I have to do is give him my bank account numbers and $500.00 US dollars cash, to show my good faith so he can transfer the money! Am I lucky, or what?

But wait, there is MORE!

I got another email. It's from a Kenyan prince who wants to give me FREE healthcare for life! All I have to do is give him: my bank account numbers, my social security number, my confiential health information, and pay $700 per month for a policy with only a $10,000 deductible. Then he can make it happen!

Am I on a roll or what !!!!

Hilarious! Several years ago my work email spam filter failed and one of those Nigerian-type scams appeared. I decided to have some fun and responded with a request to verify they were on the up & up. I asked for $5,000 in gold bullion to be Fedex’d to me. Once the bullion was received and tested, I would be willing to discuss further interactions. They emailed back “I know understand you.” I responded “No kidding Dick Tracy!”
