bwaaaaa. I haven’t had a refund in 10 years at least. Last year, I wrote a check for 6 grand and this year (I am not done yet) so far my check will be 2 grand. I already paid 12 grand in income tax deduction on my pay stubs. Complaining about tax refund taking too long. I have heard everything.

You guys are part of the 47 percent not paying taxes? Why are you on FR? We don’t want people who don’t pay taxes on here.

I don’t do tax refunds, but it did take them longer to CASH my check this year.

Helped someone with taxes in early March. They got their return in about two weeks.

Don’t they penalize you if you write a big check for taxes owed?

That doesn’t make a lick of sense. Just because a person gets a refund doesn’t mean they didn’t pay any taxes.

IIRC the IRS were going to hire 15,000 attorneys and accountants for handling Obamacare.
It certainly hasn’t speeded things up.

I filed two weeks ago and got both state and federal returns this past week. It took less than two weeks. And we had a more than simple return. Side business, schedule C, 1099s, etc.

No refund for me, I don’t like giving the government an interest-free loan.

I’ve never been penalized. Sometimes contracts come late in the year and you can’t estimate withholdings on something you don’t have.
